Meet TelOmG, a team of students from the University of Toronto conducting research in microgravity!
They’ve designed an experiment to study the effects of changes in gravity on the reduced gravity on human telomeres, inspired by NASA’s Twins Study. The team was selected to participate in the Canadian Reduced Gravity Experiment Design Challenge, and will be flying their experiment on a parabolic flight this August. They aim to both further the understanding of how spaceflight impacts the human body and improve human health on Earth.
TelOmG will be presenting their work to NASA’s Johnson Space Center’s Astronomical Society on Friday June 11th, at 8:30pm EDT. The talk will be livestreamed on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/JSCAstronomicalSociety
