The Toronto Biomedical Engineering Conference (ToBE) is a student-organized event aimed at bringing together the biomedical engineering community at the University of Toronto.
Since 1985, the name of the conferences has evolved from IBBME Scientific Day to iARC (Institute of Biomaterials and Biomedical Engineering Annual Research Conference) and eventually to ToBE (Toronto Biomedical Engineering Conference). Today, this BME conference still acts as a hub for scientific discussions, research collaborations, and community building. The conference has attracted many high-profile speakers in the past and is open to the broader community at the University of Toronto and its affiliated hospitals, providing an opportunity for over 300+ students and 100+ faculty to learn recent advances in the field of biomedical engineering.
BME will be hosting an award ceremony at The Carlu to celebrate the achievement of students by announcing the winners of podium presentations, poster presentations, and more from the ToBE conference. This will also be an opportunity to socialize with your colleagues.
This event is free of charge to BME students, staff, core faculty members, and primary cross-appointment faculty members. This will also be extended to non-BME students in core faculty member labs, research associates in core faculty member labs, and post-doctoral fellows in core faculty member labs.
