May 28, 2021 | Dr. Daniel Franklin officially joined the Institute of Biomedical Engineering (BME) as an assistant professor on May 1st, 2021. This is in collaboration with Ted Rogers Translational Biology and Engineering Program (TBEP). Dr. Franklin completed his doctoral degree in physics at the University of Central Florida (2018) and shortly after, pursued a postdoctoral fellowship at Northwestern University

November 10, 2020 | Molly Shoichet, professor of chemical engineering and applied chemistry and Canada Research Chair in Tissue Engineering at the University of Toronto, has won this year's $1 million Gerhard Herzberg Canada Gold Medal, the country's top science prize.
