We are currently seeking faculty members to join the Judging Committee of the University of Toronto’s 40th Medical Student Research Day (MSRD) on February 18th, 2026 at Hart House. This year, the poster session and oral presentations will be held in-person.
MSRD is the largest student-run medical student research conference in Canada. The conference showcases the research performed by students at the University of Toronto in the MD and MD/PhD streams in laboratories affiliated with Toronto-based research institutes and hospitals, as well as in various university departments and other academic medical centres. The research presented at MSRD is diverse, with project areas ranging from the basic and clinical sciences to health care, medical education, and public, community, and international health.
We are seeking interested faculty to become judges for our poster and/or oral presentations at this year’s MSRD.
Posters: Recruited judges will assess a number of presentations during the conference that may or may not relate to their own areas of academic research. Poster presentations will take place in-person from 4:30-6:00 PM
Oral: Recruited judges will also judge the oral presentation session at Hart House. These will either take place from 3:30-5:00 PM.
You do not have to judge both components, you can choose to only do posters or orals, on the form linked below.
Based on the judges’ evaluations, students with the highest poster/oral presentation rankings will receive a prize at the end of the conference. Receiving a Best Poster/Oral Presentation Award at the MSRD is an honour that is highly regarded among medical student presenters.
