Biography

Siti Nurfaezah Binti Zahari holds a degree in Materials Engineering from the International Islamic University Malaysia and a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering from the Technical University Malaysia Malacca. She is currently pursuing her PhD in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Toronto, focusing on the development of a fully automated, Computer-Controlled Electrical Perceptual Threshold (CCEPT) device for sensory assessment in spinal cord injury (SCI). Her research integrates artificial intelligence (AI) and innovative sensory assessment protocols to enhance diagnostic accuracy and efficiency in SCI care.

Siti has received several prestigious awards, including the Royal Foundation Sultan Mizan Terengganu Sponsorship, EPIC-AT Fellowship, Can Tap Talents – Clinical Trials Training Program and UTGSU Graduate Community Development Fund Award. Her dedication extends beyond research as she actively contributes to the academic community, serving on the KITE Trainee Committee and participating in initiatives such as the BME Science Rendezvous.

Driven by a passion for bridging engineering and healthcare, Siti strives to create innovative solutions that improve patient outcomes while inspiring the next generation of researchers in biomedical engineering.
